Kawasaki Art Center

The Kawasaki Art Center was opened on October 31, 2007 in a corner of the Shin-Yurigaoka Station neighborhood that features many art-related facilities. The art center was built to promote art culture creation, dissemination, and exchange while also contributing to the development of local art culture by providing opportunities to appreciate art.
The art center also exhibits the two Palme dfOr trophies won at the Cannes Film Festival by film director Shohei Imamura who has strong ties to Kawasaki.
