The City of Kawasaki will play host to the 3rd IFAF World Championships
2007, organized by the International Federation of American Football(IFAF),
over a nine-day period from July 7th to July 15th 2007.
Powerhouses from around the world that won their respective regional qualifying
tournaments will face off to determine the title of world champion, with
the Japanese national team returning as host country and two-time defending
champion.
Some of the storylines from this year's World Cup include, a team from
the United States―absent from the previous two World Cups―joining the
foray, Japan looking to three-peat, and whether the three European teams,
fresh off their no-holds-barred regional qualifying tournament, will be
able to recover in time to mount a charge at the title.
The 3rd IFAF World Championships 2007 also provides an excellent opportunity
for the City of Kawasaki to receive plenty of media exposure both domestically
and internationally, giving the city a chance to further promote its concept
of community and regional vitalization through sports. The entire city
and nation is sure to be rooting for the success of the 3rd IFAF World
Championships 2007.
