| The Nakahara Ward, located in the approximate center of the city, consists primarily of flat lands and a wide array of natural surroundings, including rows of cherry blossom trees lined up along the Tama River and the Nikaryo Aquaduct. There are also pansy flowers, for which the Odanaka District is well known.
Todoroki Athletics Stadium, the home ground of the Kawasaki Frontale professional soccer team, is situated in Todoroki Green Park, where supporters from near and far come to gather. As another feature, the JR Nambu Line attracts a number of state-of-the-art corporations. Currently, redevelopment projects are underway in the area around Musashi-Kosugi Station, which includes the construction of urban residential complexes and commercial facilities. A brand-new Musashi-Kosugi Station for the JR Yokosuka Line will be established in March 2010 (tentative), and help create a completely new townscape. |
