In order to ensure a safe, secure living environment for all citizens, the city is committed to provide a comprehensive emergency medical service system and preventive measures against all kinds of crimes, traffic accidents, as well as smoking on streets and sidewalks, in addition to promoting disaster preparedness by enhancing its emergency response and management system against natural or manmade disasters.
Additionally, in creating a living environment that offers both comfort and convenience to its residents, the city supplies sufficient quality housing, develops a beautiful, pleasing cityscape based on townscape policies and countermeasures for narrow roads, as well as supports citizen-centered urban planning. The city also plans to improve traffic conditions and surrounding environment by means of barrier-free construction around station areas, added convenience and frequencies in city bus routes, safety measures for residential roads, and the development of an environment that supports bicycle usage so that city residents can enjoy a safe and comfortable lifestyle in their local community.

| Dial 119 for the Command and Control Center,Kawasaki's central repository of all disaster and emergency information that receives approximately 90,000 calls a year. By utilizing the advanced, modern information technology,the Center quickly identifies the caller's location and notifies the nearest fire station for the immediate rescue and medical care. | "Emergency Water Supply Training" implemented in the local region as part of the disaster preparation training. | "Kase Water Treatment Center" of which upper facilities have been set as an emergency evacuation site in case of disaster. |
