Creating a City of Vitality and Prosperity

A City of Citizen-led Local Government Based on Participation & Collaboration

•Citizen Autonomy

Ward Assembly--established with the aim of solving issues that are of concern to the local community through citizen cooperation and participation

With the arrival of a serious decline in birth rate and aging society, the city must aptly address both the diversification of residents' needs and the changes in their values. As a result, the city will pursue a new local government system that suits the era of decentralization and emphasis urban planning that involves
collaboration between residents and city government, with the goal of forming local communities rich in character and full of vitality.

As part of such city planning, we are developing our ward offices to improve their capabilities to take the initiative in identifying and solving local problems and provide useful and friendly services in an efficient, effective, and comprehensive manner.

We are also striving to develop a comprehensive system for offering administrative services in an effort to realize a higher level of citizen satisfaction by means of improving consultation services and developing information environment to offer prompt and accurate support to meet a wide variety of citizen needs.
