友好都市：瀋陽市と連携した取組
Kawasaki-Shenyang Project
川崎市は、環境省、国立環境研究所、国連環境計画（UNEP）をはじめとした国際機関などと連携して、友好都市 中国瀋陽市の循環経済の発展に協力しています。
瀋陽市と川崎市は、友好都市の締結を結んだ1981年以降、幅広い分野で交流を行っています。環境分野においても、環境技術研修生の受け入れやエコタウンに関するワークショップの開催など、瀋陽市との環境技術交流は年を追うごとに深まってきています。
Sister City: Cooperative Efforts with Shenyang, China The City of Kawasaki is cooperating in the development of a circular economy in Shenyang, China, with which Kawasaki has a Sister City relationship in collaboration with the Japan’s Ministry of the Environment and National Institute for Environmental Studies (NIES), as well as various international organizations, beginning with the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP).
Since forming a friendship city alliance in 1981, Shenyang and Kawasaki cities have been interacting across a wide range of fields.
In the area of the environment, Kawasaki hosts environmental technology trainees and holds Eco-Town workshops while its interaction with Shenyang on the environment grows deeper year by year.
循環経済発展協力に関する協定
Agreement on the Cooperation in the Development of a Circular Economy
川崎市と瀋陽市は、環境分野での交流を通して友好関係をより一層深めるとともに、環境と経済の好循環を推進し、協力して環境課題に取り組むこと目指し、「循環経済発展協力に関する協定」を締結しました。協定に基づき、環境分野での様々な取組を進めています。
Kawasaki and the city of Shenyang concluded an “Agreement on Cooperation in the Development of a Circular Economy” with the aims of further deepening their friendly relationship through exchanges in the environmental field, and implementing cooperative efforts to solve environmental problems by promoting a “virtuous cycle” of the environment and the economy. Based on this agreement, the two cities will make a variety of efforts in the environmental field.

関係機関との連携
Collaboration with Related Organizations
「日本国環境省と中国環境保護部による川崎市及び瀋陽市の環境にやさしい都市の構築に係る協力に関する覚書」が締結（2009年6月14日）されました。環境省、国立環境研究所、国際機関などと連携して、瀋陽市の循環経済の発展に協力しています。
On June 14, 2009, Kawasaki also concluded a “Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in Construction of Environment-friendly Cities of Kawasaki and Shenyang by the Ministry of the Environment of Japan and the Ministry of Environmental Protection of China.” Kawasaki will cooperate in the development of a circular economy in Shenyang in collaboration with Japan’s Ministry of the Environment and National Institute of Environmental Studies, as well as international organizations.

瀋陽市環境技術研修生の受け入れ
Environmental Technology Trainees
川崎市の環境施策や環境技術を学び、技術移転を促進することを目的として、中国・瀋陽市の環境保護局職員が環境技術研修生として毎年川崎を訪れています。
1997年の第1期生を皮切りに、受け入れ人数は2009年度で延べ28名に上っています。彼らは帰国後は瀋陽市の環境行政の根幹を担うなど、幅広く活躍しています。
Staff from the Shenyang Environmental Protection Bureau visit Kawasaki every year to study the environmental policies and technology at Kawasaki City and stimulate the transfer of technology. Since the launch of the program in 1997, a total of 26 trainees have come to Kawasaki as of fiscal 2008. On their return to China, they are instrumental in a wide range of activities and are in the position of center of environmental policymaking in Shenyang City.
