Located in the heart of the Kehin Industrial Zone, the City
of Kawasaki has developed over the years to become a
key economic and industrial contributor
to the Japanese economy. Today, the city plays an increasingly
important role as a hub of distribution , commerce and
industry in great Tokyo Metropolitan area. The port of
Kawasaki-the city's gateway to the sea- finds itself in a truly global
position as a major center for the interchange of people,goods, and information.
A number of plans are now underway in order to further enhance the port's
function as a leading industrial and commercial port.
