Higashi ohgishima where the Port of Kawasaki's container terminal   located,  some 70 business operaters run warehouses. The combined capacity of all warehouse on the island amount to some one million tons approximately 600,000tons were provided by refrigerated storage warehouse  operated by some 17 enterprises,which constitute the largest complex of such facilities in Japan. Around 50 percent of Kanagawa Prefectures refrigated storage capacity is concentrated in Higashi Ohgishima.
