IKUTA RARK is one of the most cherished park areas in all of Kawasaki. Surrounded by small woods made up of various oaks, Ikuta Park is located in the gently undulating Tama Hills.
The park contains many varieties of seasonal flowers such as cherry blossoms at Mt. Masugata, 1,200 Irises in the Iris Garden, as well as Hydrangeas, Camellias, and Azaleas in the Citizens' Flower Garden. Wet Plants such as Alders, Paddy Fields, as well as paths between rice fields can be seen in their natural setting from the walking path that is comprised of log stairs and wooden lanes. The city helps you will enjoy a visit to this elegant, peaceful and relaxing environment.

There is an observation platform at the top of Mt. Masugata, a Fountain Square, Nihon Minka-en (Japan Open-Air Folk Museum) where there are many Traditional Folk Houses; Seishounen Kagaku Kan (Kawasaki Municipal Science Museum for Youth) which has a Planetarium; Okamoto Taro Bijyutsu-kan (Taro Okamoto Museum of Art Kawasaki), Dento Kougei Kan(Traditional Craft Center) where you can try dying material the colour of deep blue; and "Rose Garden" which is open to the public in the Spring and Autumn.
