Getting Advice on Your Health

The Health and Social Welfare Center

You can get advice on your health at the Health and Social Welfare Center
Persons 40 or older and their families who are not currently seeing a doctor can come to the Center to get advice on their health. There is no charge.

Contact the Health Desk (Community Health and Social Welfare Section) of the Health and Social Welfare Center for days and hours of operation.

AMDA International Medical Information Center (a non-profit organization)

AMDA International Medical Information Center
The AMDA offers information on doctors that speak the language of the patient, as well as information on the health care system.
Note that consultations are not offered over the Internet. See the Website or call the number below.

starts to provide, in partnership with Asao Ward Office, the medical information for foreign residents in Asao and its vicinity, over the phone, free of charge in English, Spanish, and Chinese regarding;
Medical facilities in Asao and its vicinity
Japanese health insurance system
Health check-up at nearby health center
Vaccination and so forth.
The operation starts; On and from February 25, 2008
Every Monday and Friday except on national holidays
