Gas Leaks

Gas leaks are extremely dangerous.
If you smell gas, do as follows:

  • Close the gas valve
  • Open windows
  • Turn off the burner and avoid touch electrical switches, exhaust fans, etc. (Leave the fan going)
  • Call the gas company
    If you have city gas
    Call 044-211-8716 (Note that this number is for gas leak inquiries only).
    You can also call the Tokyo Gas Customer Center at 0570-002211.
    From a mobile phone or PHS, dial 044-245-2211.

    If you have propane gas, call the propane gas company.
