Sending your Child to a Kawasaki City School

In Japan, children begin elementary school at the age of 6.
The children of foreign nationals intending to reside in Japan may also attend school, even where they lack alien registration certificates.
To enroll your child in a Kawasaki City elementary or junior high school, contact the ward office (Residents Desk, Ward Residents Section).

Child education counseling services are available in Chinese, English, Spanish, and Portuguese, both by telephone and in person, at the following location.
