Getting Re-Entry Permit

If you plan to leave Japan temporarily and return during your allotted period of stay, you must obtain a Re-entry Permit before leaving the country.

If you leave the country without getting a Re-entry Permit, your visa status and the remaining period of stay will become invalid. If this happens, you must reapply for another visa consistent with the purpose of your intended stay in Japan.

Inquire with the Immigration Bureau of Japan for further details.
