Kawasaki Civic Museum

It was opened on November 1988, with a concept of "City and People".
In the city where we live and work, a variety of people come and meet, and create new culture successively. In this museum, many materials and products which indicate a growing process of Kawasaki city and culture bloomed there, are collected, exhibited and studied.

Getting there
Take a "Sugi 40" or "Mizo 05" route bus at the Musashi-Kosugi station of JR Nambu line. Get off the bus at "Shimin Museum Mae" stop.

Shoyo exhibition area; exhibition rooms for archaeology, history and ethnography; exhibition rooms for graphics, photographs and cartoons; special exhibition rooms; exhibition rooms for plans; special material library; a movie theater; a video library; a museum shop; a restaurant.
Main Feature
* Exhibition of reproduction technology products including posters, lithographs, photographs, cartoons, movies and videos which have close relation to our lives today and play a part of constitution of urban culture.
* Exhibition of archaeology, history, and ethnography materials related to Kawasaki, and products of artists in Kawasaki.

9:30 to 17:00 (Entrance is closed at 16:00)

Monday (except on holiday), next day of holiday (except on Saturday and Sunday) and end-and-beginning of year.
Admission Fee
* Regular Exhibition: Adult: 300 yen, Student: 100 yen.
* Special Exhibition admission fee varies.
